In addition to our regularly scheduled programs, Sea for Yourself is also well equipped to design and implement customized programs suited to your specific group needs. If you have a group of family members, friends, or colleagues that would enjoy the services specific to Sea for Yourself, with sufficient advance notice, we are able to build a program to a destination of your choice, scheduled at a time that works for your group. Over the years, Sea for Yourself has established strong working relationships with suppliers in many tropical regions of the world, making our services ideal for a variety of customized departures.

The most frequently asked question is "How many people are needed for a custom departure?" We don’t have a set minimum — this is determined on an individual basis and depends on factors such as the number of days, location, and of course price.

Family Groups: While we don’t currently offer departures specific to families, we have on several occasions, built customized programs for extended families. Sometimes, these trips are initiated to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion. Other times, it’s simply one, or several families that want to spend some quality time together. Snorkeling is one of the very few activities that can be equally enjoyed by people of all ages, and often at the same time. Some of the most rewarding snorkeling experiences are those shared simultaneously among three generations.

Groups of Friends: We have also been approached by groups of friends that enjoy travelling together, but don’t want to cope with all the logistics. Sea for Yourself welcomes the opportunity to provide travel and leader services for these groups. Sea for Yourself programs are designed especially for snorkelers. However, if desired, with pre-existing groups of friends, we are better able to accommodate both snorkeling and SCUBA diving interests.

Corporate Groups: In addition to families and friends, we’ve also had experience operating programs for a variety of companies. A corporate retreat or work-related seminar overlays very successfully with Sea for Yourself infrastructure -- business meetings are comfortably intermingled with snorkeling outings. In contrast to other popular retreat formats that actively focus on building teamwork, snorkeling encourages independence, attentive relaxation, and sensitivity to surrounding natural environments in the context of buddy pairs and small groups.
